Due Sunday, Dec-12, 11:59 pm: Project 4: Choose one of the Hill or LSFR ciphers; implement it, and then crack an unknown message through a known plaintext attack on its key.
Due Friday, Nov-19, 5:00 pm: Project 3: Another two-part cryptanalysis. First, find the real ciphertext amongst a bunch of random-looking files; next, decrypt a Vigenere ciphertext.
A race to the finish: Project 2A begins when you cryptanalyze the ciphertext that I created with a shift cipher. Specifically, using the 256-character alphabet of byte values. Decrypting this message will provide the instructions for Project 2B, which is a ciphertext created with the same alphabet, but this time using a substitution cipher. Get started, because part of your grade will be determined by how quickly you decrypt and submit these messages!
Due Sunday, Oct-10, 11:59 pm: Project 1: Data link layer framing and error detection/correction.
Due Wednesday, Sep-22, 2:00 pm: Complete Problem Set 1, which covers material on the physical layer.
Due Wednesday, Sep-08, 2:00 pm: Read the course information.
