Dec-09: As you begin work on Paper-3 Round-2 (assignment and upload page to be posted soon), the here are the reviews that your classmates wrote to help you along. Download and use them.
Dec-06: Reading for the final two group presentationss is half posted on the assignments page. That is, one group sent reading; I am awaiting the other. Ahem.
Dec-07 update: The other group has finally provided their reading. Check the assignment for Dec-08 again, which now has links to both groups' readings.
Dec-04: Reading for the two group presentations on Tuesday is posted on the assignments page.
Nov-30: Check the assignments page again; one of two of tomorrow's readings is posted, and I hope to post the other soon (when I have received it!). Please take this situation, at 5:30 pm, as a reminder: groups that are presenting must submit readings for the class in a timely fashion.
Update: The second reading is now availble.
Nov-28: Check the assignments page, where there is a reading posted for tomorrow's class (during which we'll have the first group present their topic).

Nov-15: I have posted reading for tomorrow (Thursday). Also, be ready to discuss the presentation projects and to select a time for your pair to present. Finally, if you have not yet emailed me to let me know with whom you are going to present, do it now!.
Nov-14: There will be no class tomorrow (Tuesday). I will post reading soon for Thursday's class.
Nov-09: Both reading for Thursday, as well as the assignment page for Paper-3 Round-1, have been posted on the Assignments page.

Oct-17: I have posted reading for tomorrow. Part review, part new reading, so hop to it!
Oct-16: Now that a straggler or two has submitted their reviews, you may all download the reviews of your Paper-2 Round-1. Contact me ASAP if you have difficulty logging in and downloading these two documents. Once you've downloaded them, begin the task of revising your Paper-2, taking the feedback into account.
Oct-11: At long, long last, download your graded Paper-1. Because it is so late, your reviews for paper-2 will be due Friday, Oct-14, 11:59 pm.
Oct-06: Here are sample reviews to help you gauge how to write your own: Sample review #1 and Sample review #2.
Oct-02: Now posted amongst the assignments are both reading for Tuesday (Oct-04) and the Paper-2 reviews. The latter contains the link to a page that allows you to download the papers you must review.
Sep-28: First, I have posted reading for tomorrow. Second, I am giving you all a one day extension to Friday, at 11:59 pm, for Paper 2, Round 1; use it well.
Sep-23: I've posted paper-2, round-1. It's a day late, so I've added a day to the due-date.
Sep-20: As promised, reading for Thursday has been posted on the Assignments page. This text is more dense, so give yourself reasonable time to read it.
Sep-19: I apologize (again!) for the last-minute nature of this posting, but go to the Assignments page to grab the reading for tomorrow. I promise not to be so tardy with readings again.
Sep-18: I apologize that I have not yet posted a reading for Tuesday morning. One will be forthcoming soon. I discovered that I erred in constructing the reading list, having left out one title from which I had intended us to read a couple of chapters; I am therefore now looking for an alternate version of the most critical of those chapters to post for you today. Keep an eye on this page.
Sep-06: With our first class meeting about to occur in Seeley Mudd 204, I am posting the assignment for the next class meeting (Thursday). Be sure to check the Assignments page regularly, since I will not post an announcement here every time that it changes.
Jul-19: Welcome! Regular announcements, including information about papers, reading, class preparation, cancellations, and just about anything else, will be provided here. Check this space daily (at the least) to see if any new announcements have been posted. Prior to the first class at 11:30 am on Tuesday, September 6, you must read the Course Information page.
