2008-Mar-24: Here are the mid-term #1 answers and discussion. Be sure to examine this carefully in contemplating your own answers and my grading. If you have questions, be sure to come and ask them!
2008-Feb-25: I have posted a sample mid-term #1. You should use this sample (a) to see what a CS 11 exam might look like, and (b) as a study-aid.
2008-Feb-20, 9:30 pm: Questions from some of you made it clear that the output for the Project-1 program was confusingly presented. Indeed, it was. I have changed the Project-1 page, describing the output more thoroughly and changing what the output is supposed to be. Be sure to check this new version before doing any more work on this project.
2008-Feb-19: Check out Project-1.
2008-Feb-07: The instructions for connecting to remus/romulus from outside the lab have finally been posted. If you want to do work on your own computer, try them out and let me know how it goes.
2008-Jan-31: I have created a new lab section to be held on Fridays from 12:00 pm to 12:50 pm. The lab sections page will tell you to which lab you have been assigned. If you have problems with your assignment, let me know right away. Note that I tried to satisfy many people's preferences, but it was impossible to satisfy all of them, so you may have a lab time that is not your favorite. My apologies, but that's as good as it gets.
2008-Jan-28: Please send me your Friday schedule. There are too many of you to fit into a single lab section, so another will need to be created. You must send me, before Wednesday's class, an email with times during which you are available on Fridays.
2008-Jan-28: For those who do want a book for this class, you may peruse this book, which is a work-in-progress, that is very well suited for CS 11. And, for now, it's free!
2008-Jan-25: Welcome! Regular annoucements, including information about lectures, labs, projects, exams, and just about anything else will be posted here. You are expected to check this annoucements regularly (read: daily). In the meantime, be sure to read the course information page and find out what you're getting yourself into.
