Oct-30: On the Assignments page, find Lab-7, procedures in assembly.
Oct-23: Check the Assignments page for Lab-6, where we will write and run some assembly code.
Oct-22: Here are solutions to the mid-term exam. I will update this document later, after completing the grading, to include a bit of commentary on typical mistakes. For now, though, I wanted you to see the solutions while the problems were fresh in your mind.
Oct-12: Check the Readings page, where you will now find a list of the chapters and sections of the textbook that address what we've covered so far in the class.
Oct-11: From the Documents page, here are some sample mid-term exam questions. Note that this document is not a comprehensive study guide, nor a representation of a complete mid-term exam. It is meant only to provide some sense of what types of questions may be on the mid-term itself.
Oct-02: Lab-5 is available on the Assignments page. You can also find, on the Documents page, the datasheets for the 74LS83 adders chips and the 74LS157 multiplexer chips.
Sep-25: Lab-4 is ready on the Assignments page!
Sep-18: Lab-3 is posted on the Assignments page.
Also, you should check your shared Google Drive folder for this class, where the TA's have placed feedback for Lab-1. If you do not see this feedback, contact me.
Sep-11: Lab-2 is posted on the Assignments page. You will also find the datasheets---documentation for the logic chips we will use---on the Documents page.
Sep-04: It is time for Lab-1! All of the labs will be posted on the Assignments page, so always check there to find them. I will also post them to our Slack channel.
Aug-20: Welcome to Systems I! There are a few key pieces of information that you should know before classes begin:
Our first class meeting will be on Wednesday, Sep-03, at 9:00 am, in SCCE A131. We will spend some time discussing an overview of the class, but we will quickly dive into the material, so it is critical that you are present from the very beginning.
Before our first class meeting, read the Course Information. This document covers the course topics, expectations, structure, grading, etc. You are expected to have reviewed this document thoroughly.
